You know that feeling when a home just gets balance? Like it’s both cozy and sleek, rustic yet refined? That’s exactly what happens stepping into the newly built 5,370-square-foot estate at 2006 Mountain View Road in Austin’s charming Tarrytown. From the crisp cream exteriors topped with bold black metal to the softly glowing interiors warmed by honey oak and brass details, every inch feels thoughtfully designed without trying too hard.
Let’s take a peek at why this seven-bedroom, seven-and-a-half bath beauty—with a detached pool house and private guest casita—is making waves beyond its $6.55 million price tag.
1. Modern Farmhouse Chic with Cream, Slate, and Walnut Warmth
Right from the front porch, the approach feels like something special. The soft cream stucco walls provide the perfect neutral backdrop for the eye-catching black standing-seam metal roof and matching window frames—a real architectural mic drop. That rich walnut front door grounds the whole look, welcoming visitors into a space where modern edges meet natural warmth. Concrete pavers slice through lush green grass, inviting you to slow down and soak it all in.
2. Living Room That’s Both Airy and Grounded
Step inside to a great room that breathes. Dark wide-plank hardwood floors stretch underfoot, anchoring an open layout where the walnut kitchen cabinets flow seamlessly into the living space. The kitchen island, topped with polished concrete, brings an industrial vibe, while three sculptural white pendants arc gracefully overhead. Nearby, a cream sectional wraps around a built-in fireplace—perfect for cozy evenings—and floor-to-ceiling black-framed glass walls make it feel like the outdoors is just part of the room. Fresh, inviting, and very livable.
3. Oak Cabinets and Brass Fixtures That Glow Like Golden Hour
The kitchen here is all about warmth and texture. Honey-toned oak wraps the room, from the cabinets right down to the wide-plank floors, creating a flow that feels organic and soothing. A thick gray concrete island contrasts beautifully, its cool hue balanced by warm brass pendant lights overhead. The brass details aren’t just pretty—they catch the light just right, making the whole space glow. Cream barstools soften the scene, turning the island into a spot you’ll actually want to gather around.
4. A Bedroom Bathing in Creamy Comfort
This bedroom is the very definition of calm. Everything here whispers softness—from the walls painted a gentle ivory, to the bedding and sheer drapes filtering in natural light. A woven jute chandelier adds an unexpected earthy touch, while brass table lamps sparkle just enough to catch your eye. Plush upholstery on the armchair and bench invite you to sink in, and the wide-plank wood floors with a textured rug keep the mood earthy and warm. Simple layers of warm neutrals never looked so right.
5. Marble Vanity Meets Brass Elegance in the Spa-Like Bathroom
Step into luxury with this bathroom, where polished white marble counters with dramatic gray veining sit atop rich walnut cabinetry. The matte brass faucets and drawer pulls add a softness that feels both sophisticated and welcoming. A freestanding white tub rests below a large window, inviting moments of tranquility bathed in sunlight. Concrete-look large tile underfoot keeps the color story neutral and modern—a perfect sanctuary after a long day.

6. Slate Roof Meets Warm Twilight Glow Outside
As the sun dips below the treetops, the warm amber light spilling from tall black-framed windows makes the home look downright magical. The slate-gray standing-seam roof carves a sharp contrast against creamy stucco walls, while the backyard invites loungers to gather around a square concrete fire pit. Soft taupe armchairs and several agave plants add an organic touch to the clean-lined modern landscaping. It’s an inviting scene of modern warmth merged with nature’s calm.
7. The Courtyard's Striking Teal Pool and Crisp Outdoors
Surrounded by smooth white stucco walls, this outdoor courtyard stands out with its deep teal pool, like a gem reflecting the sky and nearby branches. A charcoal metal roof cuts a sharp silhouette, and floor-to-ceiling glass literally blurs the boundary between inside and out. Gray woven furniture clusters around a square fire pit on textured stone, providing a cozy hangout spot under the open sky. Bold, clean, and effortlessly inviting.
8. Black Slate Roof and Natural Wood Soften the Sharp Exterior
Back at the front, the sharpest architectural contrasts soften with a warm wood slat screen wrapping the marked entryway porch. The large glass windows let sunlight flood in, making the cream stucco walls seem to glow even brighter. It’s a sophisticated pairing that feels fresh yet timeless—perfect for the neighborhood without losing its standout personality.
9. Light Oak Kitchen Serenely Paired with Elegant Lighting
This kitchen takes a softer turn with pale oak cabinetry basking in gentle sunlight. Wide-plank hardwood floors mirror the grain tones for a seamless look. Above the quietly stunning island, scalloped pendant lights diffuse warm white light, while cream barstools with slim brass legs add subtle polish. White subway tile backsplash keeps it visual and airy—calm, collected, and utterly inviting.
10. Ivory Bedroom with Luxe Lighting Touches
Another bedroom leans into ivory hush with crisp white walls and a lush upholstered bed as its anchor. A shimmering crystal chandelier with golden accents steals the show, while matching brass lamps emit a steady, cozy glow. Underfoot, the soft rug and wide-plank floors give texture and soul. Sheer curtains coax a gentle natural light, softening the sharp lines and adding easy-going warmth.
